History and reusing labels

How history keeps the labels you have already closed out and how to reuse one to quickly create another just like it.

Updated on

Every label that leaves the active list moves to history: the ones that were consumed, discarded, or that expired. It is the record of what went through your operation.

What history is

History gathers the labels with status Consumed, Discarded, or Expired. It lives on its own tab, next to Active, and shows the most recent labels first.

Each row shows the product, the validity state of the rule used (Primary, Opened, Prepared, Thawed, or Cooked), the storage, the lot (when present), the status, and the label’s cycle dates — plus who closed it out, when that information is available.

Filtering history

To find an old label faster, use the filters at the top of the list:

The two filter groups work together: you can see, for example, only the Discarded ones from the last 3 days.

Reusing a label

When you need a label just like one that already went through — same product, same validity rule — you do not have to fill everything in again. Reuse one from history:

  1. Open history

Go to the History tab and find the label you want to repeat (use the filters if needed).

  2. Tap use as new draft

At the bottom of the label there is a Use as new draft button.

  3. Review and adjust

A new label is created as a draft, already with the same product and the same validity rule as the original. Adjust whatever differs (responsible person, lot, quantity) before moving on.

  4. Print whenever you want

The new draft appears under Active, ready to be printed in the Android app whenever you need it.

Who can use it

Anyone in the business — Owner, Manager, or Staff — can browse history and reuse a label. Printing and code reading happen in the Android app; the web panel is for administration, and Staff work from Android.
