Print a test label

The test label confirms, in seconds, that the printer is connected and calibrated — without using up any real product.

Print the test

1. Open Printers

   In the app, open Printers.

2. Tap Print

   On the saved printer, tap Print. The app sends a test label and shows “Test sent”.

The test label has sample text, a frame, and a QR code — it’s not tied to any real product and doesn’t enter your label history.

Read the QR to check the settings

If you scan the test label’s QR with the app’s camera, it shows the printer’s current settings — protocol, DPI, size, density, and speed — and confirms that the printer is ready to print real labels.

What to look for on the label

• Frame at the right size — it should fill the label, without overflowing or getting cut off.
• Sharp text and QR — nothing faded or smudged.
• Alignment — the content doesn’t “slide” onto the next label.
