Discard a label by scan
How to scan a label barcode to move it from active to history.
Updated on
Every printed label carries a barcode (Code 128 by default) that uniquely identifies that label in your tenant. Scanning this code moves the label from active to history, recording the reason.
How to discard
- In Labels, tap Scan.
- Point the camera at the label barcode — the app recognizes it automatically.
- Pick a discard reason:
- Consumed — normal use.
- Discarded — expired or unfit.
- Returned — sent back to the supplier.
- (Optional) add a note.
- Tap Confirm.
Why discarding matters
- It feeds the consumption history — the basis for future analytics.
- Keeps the active screen clean, focused on what’s still in use.
- On paid plans, it’s the input for abnormal consumption alerts.
If the label was printed at another branch, discarding still works — the barcode is unique across the entire tenant.
