How EtiquetaChef shows, for each product, how much is currently live in labels along with the balance indicators.
Updated on
The Stock screen shows, for each product, how much is currently live in labels at that moment. It’s a quick way to know what you have on hand without opening the label list and counting by hand.
Where this number comes from
Stock is not typed in by hand: it’s calculated from your live labels. For each product, EtiquetaChef adds up the quantity of the labels still in use and shows the total in the product’s unit (kg, g, L, ml, un, etc.).
EtiquetaChef tracks the shelf life of perishables, not a purchasing inventory. So there’s no entering goods received or doing a physical count here: the balance is always a reflection of what’s live in labels.
What the screen shows
-
Indicators at the top
Cards with the overview: how many products are below minimum, how many are in stock, how many are out of stock, and the total live items.
-
Balance per product
Each product appears with its live balance (in its unit) and a status: OK, Low, or Out of stock. Products with no minimum set show as “No threshold” and don’t trigger an alert.
-
Search and filters
The list is grouped by category. You can search by product name and use the Below minimum and Out of stock filters to focus on what needs attention.
Minimum stock and alert
For each product you can set a minimum stock. When the live balance drops below that value, the product starts showing as Low (or Out of stock if it reaches zero) and you get a notification so you can restock before it disrupts service.
Setting a minimum is optional: products without one still appear in the list, they just don’t generate an alert.
Who keeps an eye on it
Setting the minimum and administration live in the web panel (computer). In the Android app, the team checks the balance while working at the counter.
