The app won't open or asks to update
What to do when the Android app won't open, gets stuck, or requires an update.
Updated on
If the app on your phone or tablet won’t open, freezes on the startup screen, or asks you to update, follow this list in order — stop as soon as it works again.
When the app asks you to update
Sometimes the app shows a required update notice and won’t let you continue until you update. This is on purpose: the update brings important security fixes, so it really is mandatory.
-
Open the Play Store
On your Android device, open the Play Store.
-
Search for EtiquetaChef
Find the app by name, or go straight to the list of apps with an available update.
-
Tap Update
Wait for the update to download and install.
-
Open the app again
Once it’s updated, the app opens normally.
When the app simply won’t open
-
Update through the Play Store
Even without a notice, it’s worth checking the Play Store for an available update and installing it.
-
Check your connection the first time
On the very first launch (or the first time a new user signs in), the app needs internet. Make sure the device is on Wi‑Fi or mobile data.
-
Restart the device
Turn your phone or tablet off and on again — this clears up most freezes.
